MARSHALL STOKES Larry Goldman, 68, of Florence, MS, died January 9, 2013.  He was born in Philadelphia, MS, to Truett and Johnnye Goldman who preceded him in death.  He grew up in Dixon, MS, where he attended elementary school.  In his teen years, he moved to Jackson and attended Peeples Junior High and Central High School.  Larry was an automobile mechanic since the age of 17.  Since retirement, Larry enjoyed working in the yard and being outdoors. He was a member of Olde Towne Community Church in Ridgeland, MS.  Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, June Goldman; sons and spouses, Dwayne and Kara Goldman of Lake Wales, FL, Chris and Dana Goldman of Terry, MS; grandchildren, Manning, Brennan, Abigail, Zachary, Haley and Madison; brother, Michael and his spouse Victoria of Jackson; nieces, Debbie Mixon, Sherrie Bishop and Brande’ Goldman.  He was also preceded in death by his brother Connie.  He was a quiet and devoted man, who highly valued his family and friends.  Though not wealthy, he was generous without pretense, preferring to give without being recognized.  As a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many, he was dearly loved and will truly be missed. Pallbearers were Manning Goldman, Gene Hooks, Greg McLemore, J. P. Stokes, Will Stokes and Mel Thornton.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, In care of Ellon Stovall, 10130 Road 414, Philadelphia, MS 39350.
