RANDY CALDWELL Rev. Jones was a native of Neshoba County and a lifelong educator. Bro. Jerry was an honor graduate of Philadelphia High School and he earned his B.S., M.S. and Specialist degrees at Mississippi State University. He was an Administrator and teacher at Neshoba, Newton and Leake County Schools and Pioneer and Kemper Academies and he enjoyed coaching. Rev. Jones has been a minister since 1967 and has served many churches in Neshoba, Newton and Kemper Counties. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Young (Bud) Jones and Edna Earl Partridge Jones of Philadelphia. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Annette Moore Jones, a step-son, Shane Sanderford (Della), a step-daughter, Tiffany McWilliams, and grandchildren, Colby Sanderford, Tyler Sanderford, Dalton Sanderford, Tanner Hollingsworth, Joeye McWilliams, Jaimie Craig and Jason Craig. Pallbearers were Chad Davis, Wayne Eldridge, Chris Gully, Tommy Gully, Les Hoppes and Larry McMillan. Grandchildren served as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Gideons International or the charity of their choice.
