DAVID RICHARDSONINTERMENT:  CEDARLAWN CEMETERYMrs. Spears, 99, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Choctaw Residential Center in Choctaw, MS. She was a retired garment factory seamstress. Mrs. Spears was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Phillip Spears and her parents, T. N. "Bud" and Sina Creekmore. Survivors include her niece, Mary Winstead (caretaker); sisters, Nellie Winstead of Choctaw, Edna Bullock of Hattiesburg ; Mary Read of Stockton CA, Tommie Mayo of Clinton, Kitty Skelton of Gautier, Fay Burton of Crystal Springs and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jesse Spears, John Spears, Steven Mayo, Kenneth Parker, Dan Burton, Richard Creekmore and Ricky Creekmore.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Baptist Children’s Village, 805 North Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39209 or The Gideons International, P O Box 244, Philadelphia, MS 39350.
