WILLIAM GOODWININTERMENT:  HENRY'S CHAPEL CEMETERYMr. Akins, 45, died Friday, October 5, 2012 in Neshoba County. He was a native of Lovington, New Mexico but had been a resident of Neshoba County since the early 90’s.  He was retired from the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Akins was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Staci Bryan Akins of Philadelphia; sons, Wesley Akins, Taylor Akins, both of Philadelphia and Jake Akins of California; father, Ben Akins of Philadelphia; sisters, Donna Pope of Philadelphia and Sheila Noble of Florida; brother, Dexter Akins of Decatur and several nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Akins and an infant son, Joshua Hayward Akins.Pallbearers were Derek Noble, Brad Noble, Matt Noble, Jimmy Glenn, Eric Bryan, Danny Drake, Ricky Bryan, Benstan Pope, Bryant Pope and Stevie McDonald.
