LEON BURTON Mr. Burton, 77, of Metairie, LA, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Lincoln County, MS. He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Metairie, LA.   He was owner/operator of BBC True Value Hardware in New Orleans East.  Mr. Burton was a licensed private pilot and licensed contractor.  He was Methodist by faith and was an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Beyl Burton of Metairie, LA; daughter, Cindi VanEss and her husband, Ronnie of Kenner, LA; son, David Burton of Metairie, LA; grandchild, Michael VanEss of  Kenner, LA; sister, Dorothy Ann Nelson of Metairie, LA; brothers, Rev. Walcie Leon Burton of Hernando and Rev. Franklin Gail Burton of Hernando; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Tom and Ethel May Burton and six brothers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to your local Humane Society.
