Tommy Ray "Buddy" Culberson

RANDY CALDWELL  Mr. Culberson, 71, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was born and reared in Kemper County, Preston, MS.  He was a member of Pleasant Springs Presbyterian Church.  Mr. Culberson retired in 2004 from the maintenance department at Atlas Roofing Company.  He was an avid deer and turkey hunter. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Mercedes Culberson of Preston; daughter, Lillie Marie Sampson of Ocala, FL; step-daughters, Gay Flint and Wanda Haggard both of Philadelphia; step-son, William C. "Bo" Palmer of Preston; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Crook of Shreveport, LA and Mavis Fairchild of Myrtle Beach, SC; and brother, Edward Glen “Pete” Culberson of Houma, LA. Mr. Culberson was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Lillie Mae Culberson; five sisters and five brothers.
