FRED BRITTON Mr. Jordan, 25, died Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, MS. A 2005 graduate of Philadelphia High School, he was elected Mr. PHS and selected All-District in football, soccer and baseball. Porter was a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and currently seeking his MBA at Mississippi State University. He was employed with Citizens Bank in Philadelphia. Porter was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his mother, Cynthia Williams Jordan of Philadelphia; father, Dr. Joe Jordan of Philadelphia; sisters, Frances Jordan Gamblin and her husband, Josh of Philadelphia and Margaret Olivia Jordan of Philadelphia; brother, Daniel Cooper Jordan of Philadelphia; niece, Minnie Gamblin; nephew, Ford Gamblin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cooper and Frances Williams and paternal grandparents, Dr. Porter and Mildred Jordan.Pallbearers were Ken Evans, Dane DeWeese, William DeWeese, Kip Turner, Jonathan Pickens, Landon Gilmer, Nick Shanks, Matthew Burrow, Bob Posey, Tom Turner and Sam Mars.
