CHRIS VOWELL  Mrs. Johnson, 87, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her daughter’s residence. She was a native of the Cleveland community in Kemper County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, MS.  She was retired as a bookkeeper with Stribling Drugs.  Mrs. Johnson was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Curry (Ed) of Philadelphia; son, Raymond Johnson (Louise) of Mena, AR; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;sister, Walterine Myers of Philadelphia and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Johnson; parents, Press and Lettie Hill; granddaughter, Kimberly Curry; great-grandson, Matthew Smith Fanning and sister, Hannie Carter.Pallbearers:  Sean Curry, Chad Curry, Ellis Fanning, Brian Fanning, Tim Carter, Raymond Johnson, Jr., Jarrod Johnson and Mark Fulton. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund for Childcare Ministries or your favorite charity.
