JIMMY MCDILL Mr. J. H. "Hop" Munn, 84, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Regency Hospital of Meridian. He was a native and lifelong resident of the House community of Neshoba County. Mr. Munn was a member of McLain Chapel Church. He was an employee of Miller Transporters in Meridian for many years before retiring. In his youth he was a great baseball and basketball competitor. He also enjoyed playing golf during his retirement years with his friends. The happiest times for Mr. Munn was having all of his family together. There were so many wonderful meals prepared for him and one of his hobbies was eating. Mr. Munn had a great thirst for life. He loved watching his children participate in different sports and later on he had grandchildren and great-grandchildren to go and watch. He was so proud of all their achievements and loved talking to his friends about them. Life will surely not be the same without “Hop” Munn. He brought a lot of laughter to a lot of people. He was a wonderful husband to his wife, a great daddy to his children, and the best Pa Paw ever.Survivors include his wife, Connie Roberts Munn of House; daughters, Syble Smith (P.J. “Ricky”) of Little Rock, Patricia Joyner (Jimmie) of Savannah, TN, and Brenda Cheatham (Steve) Philadelphia and son, Robert Munn (Ann) of Newton. He was blessed with six beautiful granddaughters, Windy Luttrell (Patrick) of Springhill, TN, Brandi Putman (Jeff) of Canton, Sundy Bounds (Brad) of Philadelphia, Amanda Joyner of Nashville, TN, Lindsey Burkes (Bo) of Philadelphia and Heather Marks (Tyler) of Madison; great-grandchildren, Nick, Tanner and Maggie Luttrell, Ryan and Blaine Gardner, Hayes and Jones Burkes, and Ella and Miller Marks; sister, Martha Murphy of Union; and brother, Wilmer Munn of Little Rock.Pallbearers were Jeff Putman, Nick Luttrell, Bo Burkes, Lucas Luttrell, Ryan Gardner, Brad Bounds, Tyler Marks, Blaine Gardner and Patrick Luttrell. Mr. Munn was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Maggie Munn; and brothers, Jimmy Munn and Joe Munn.
