ROY GARRETT Mrs. Madison, 85, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Neshoba County General Hospital. She was a native of Kemper County and a longtime resident of the Forestdale community in Neshoba County.  She was a retired elementary teacher/counselor and had taught at Lynville, Cleveland and Bloomo.  She received her specialist degree in guidance counseling and had served as a counselor in Meridian Public Schools, Choctaw Central and Neshoba Central.  Mrs. Madison was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and a member of the Retired Teachers Association.  The hobbies she enjoyed included painting, sewing, crafts, woodworking and gardening. Survivors include her daughters, Diane Jones (Paul) of Colorado Springs, CO and Elaine Gipson (John) of Newton; grandchildren, Robert Jones (Marlette) of Jacksonville, FL, Jay Gipson ( Tracy ) of Decatur, Dori Sifford (Jeremy) of Colorado Springs, CO and Brad Gipson (Leslie) of Meridian; great-grandchildren, Cameron Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Dennis Sifford, Tyler Jones, Katelynn Gipson, Cooper Gipson, Seth Gipson and Owen Gipson; brothers, Lester White and J.L. White both of DeKalb; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Madison was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Madison in 2005; parents, Leslie and Myrtle White; brother, Henry Leslie White; and sisters, Effie Sawyer and Mary Stinmetz. Pallbearers were Ronald Madison, Max Clearman, Don Nelson, Eddie Gray, Earnest Stovall, Harold Eakes, Joe Mike Stepp and Tim Chapman.
