She was a native of the Bethsaida community in Neshoba County and a longtime resident of the Stephenstown community.  Mrs. Spears was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church (Stephenstown).  She was a member of EX-POW, DAV and VFW Ladies Auxiliaries.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Spears; daughter, Delnita Stephens; and brother, Jethro Hardy. Survivors include her daughter, Alicia Wooldridge (Chuck) of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Wendy Cumberland (Ricky), Angie Johnson, and Mickey Conn (Tasha) all of Philadelphia; and Sharon Spears of Jackson; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; sisters, Edrith Miller of Carthage and Jewel Goldman of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Pallbearers were Jeremie Barrett, Nathan Bozeman, Michael Barrett, Chris McLemore, Danny Cain, Hilton Spears, Hoss Neese and Matt Seales.
