MIKE CARR Mr. Jenkins, 72, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, MS.  He was a 1958 graduate of Longino High School.  He served in the U. S. Army from 1958-1962.  He was a salesman for Orkin for 8 1/2 years.  He then formed his own business, Jenkins Pest Control, in August 1972 which he owned and operated for almost 40 years.  He also owned and operated Brian’s Restaurant which opened December 2, 2011. This was named after his pride and joy, his only grandson, Brian.  Mr. Jenkins was Baptist by faith.  He was a member of the Mississippi Pest Control Association. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Bobbie Smith Jenkins; daughter, Laura Powe; grandson, Brian Powe; brothers, Robert Hollie Jenkins and his wife, Zola of Pelahatchie, Milton Jenkins and his wife, Sandra of Ocean Springs; sister, Mildred Kirkland and her husband, Rodney of Philadelphia and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Benjamin Jenkins and Frances Lou Vesta Eakes Jenkins; brother, Herman Jenkins; sisters, Helen Burkes, Mary Isabelle Jenkins and Judy Pullin.Pallbearers were Gene Brown, Don Fulton, Sid Williams, Ben Edwards, Joe Nowell, Willie Hays Richardson and Fred Hataway.
