STEVE LAMPKIN Ms.  Linda Palmer, 69, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Macon, Georgia, but was a native of Kemper County and a resident of the Lynville community for many years. She was retired from Department of Human Services in Kemper County where she worked for child protective services. Ms. Palmer was a member of Lynville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryant and Florrie Palmer. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Lynn Brinson of Byram; grandson, Jamie Winright (Stacie) of Marianna, FL; sisters, Debbie Webb (Jerold) of Raymond and Margaret Peoples (Danny) of Birmingham, AL; brother, Bob Palmer (Carol) of Stillwater, OK; a number of nephews and a niece and their families.Pallbearers:  Britt Gully, Les Hoppes, Tyler Hoppes, Andy Sanderson, Wayne Smith and Jason Webb. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to: Lynville United Methodist Church, 120 Kellis Store Road, Preston, MS 39354 .
