GREG FORTENBERRY Mr. Clark, 87, of Philadelphia, died late Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia, after an extended illness. Wilbur and Adell were married in Neshoba County, December 16, 1941, almost 70 years ago. Both were lifelong members of Good Hope Baptist Church. As a World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Infantry in the European Theater in England, France, Belgium and Germany and was a participant in the famous “ Battle of the Bulge” Operation. Medals earned include the Army’s Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Medal, the European Theater of Operations Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Survivors include his wife, Adell Kilpatrick Clark of Philadelphia; three daughters, Brenda Fortenberry and husband, Wendell, of Philadelphia, Nell Stanley and husband A.C., of Owensboro, KY and Kathy Whitehead of Belzoni; one sister, Audrey Nell Adkins of Philadelphia; six grandsons, Rev. John Patrick Fortenberry and Rev. Greg Fortenberry, both of Neshoba County, Dwayne Stanley of Lewisport, KY, James Billingsley and John Billingsley, both of Southaven and Brian Wooten of Belzoni; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Billingsley.
