DAVID JAY Mr. Lantz, 81, of Union, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was born in Jones County and lived in Long Beach for a number of years. He made his home in Meridian for many years and had been a resident of Neshoba County for the past 12 years. Mr. Lantz attended County Line Baptist Church and was a member of Meridian Masonic Lodge. He was an active leader of Boy Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver Award. He was retired from Borden Milk Company of Meridian. Mr. Lantz was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Mae Lantz of Union; son, Darrell Lantz and his wife, Sandra of Collinsville; brother, Allen Lantz of Long Beach; step-daughter, Rachel Tichy of Madison; step-sons, Thomas Smith of DeKalb and Keith Smith of Collinsville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dianne Miska and his first wife, Mary Louise Lantz.Pallbearers: Ricky Boler, Maxie Savell, Jerry Cleveland, Gerald Lantz, Allen Lantz, Jr. and Richie Miska.
