JERRY WILKERSONREV. JERRY BISHOP Mr. Poole, 63, of West Point, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. He was born and reared in Neshoba County. He lived in Mobile, AL for a number of years and resided in several other states. He had made his home in West Point, MS for the past 25 years. Mr. Poole retired after 30 years with Hartford Steam Boiler as an authorized nuclear inspector. He was nationally board certified as an inspector of boilers and other pressure vessels. After retirement, he worked for the Mississippi State Department of Health as a pressure vessel inspector. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Elmo Poole; sister, Gloria Poole; and brother, Dewayne Poole. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Poole of West Point; daughter, Michele Hardy Galloway and her husband, Frank of West Point; son, Jon-Curtis Poole of West Point; grandchildren, Morgan Galloway, Olivia Galloway and Curtis Mason Poole all of West Point; mother, Beadie Mae Poole of Philadelphia; sister, Debbie Goforth and her husband, Louis of Philadelphia; and brother, Roger Poole and his wife, Joyce of Philadelphia.Pallbearers were Ronnie Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Michael Goforth, Dusty Goforth, Hurb Luke and Rick Luke.
