MICHAEL SIMS Mr. Marvin Henry Moore, Sr., 70, of Philadelphia, MS, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.Mr. Moore graduated from Philadelphia High School in 1959. While at Philadelphia, he was captain and a tackle on the football team under Coach Bobby Posey and Coach Steve Boyette.He attended East Central Junior College and Mississippi State University for three years majoring in business administration. Even though he attended Mississippi State University, he was an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan throughout the rest of his lifetime. He especially enjoyed Ole Miss football, with attending as many football games as possible with his family being one of his favorite pastimes. He was an animal lover, and he also loved anything outdoors, as he could most likely be found doing something outdoors. He loved children, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. His greatest joy was his family, who will miss him dearly. He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. He was retired from Richardson Molding, Inc. in Philadelphia. Mr. Moore was a member of Hope Methodist Church where he served on the cemetery board. Survivors include his wife, Helen Moore; daughter, Mona Stribling, both of Philadelphia and son, Marvin Henry "Marty" Moore, Jr. of Atlanta GA; sisters-in-law, Rosary Justice and her husband, Bruce and Victoria Laudun and her husband, John, all of Marrero, LA; brothers-in-law, Lloyd "Bill" Bourg, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Paris, AR and Craig Bourg and his wife, Carolyn of Birmingham, AL; father-in-law, Lloyd Bourg, Sr. of Gretna, LA and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lloyd "Bill" Bourg, Jr., Craig Bourg, Bruce Justice, John Laudun, Wilburn Davis Moore, Jr., Cooper Breazeale, Bill Hallford, Danny Hallford, Kenneth Thompson, and Bobby Branning.
