SHANNON PENNINGTON Mr. Devine, 88, of Kosciusko, died Monday, October 24, 2011 at MS State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.  He had been ill for some time with Alzheimer's and dementia.   He was a native of Kosciusko and retired as a mechanic for the City of Jackson where he worked for over 25 years.  He was a decorated WWII veteran and a lifelong member of the VFW.  Mr. Devine was a member the First Pentecostal Church of Kosciusko and a professed Christian.  A loving husband, father, and great grandfather, he dedicated is life to supporting and providing for his family.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Ludine Devine; his daughter, Hazel Janette Tagert; his son, Terry Eugene Devine; and his grandson, David Eugene Devine.   Survivors include his son, Billy J. Devine of Jackson; granddaughters, Kathyrn Smith of Kosciusko and Terry Diane Devine of Raymond; grandsons, James Earl Devine of Little Rock, AR and Jeffery Scott Tagert of New Orleans, LA; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers were James Dickerson, Derrick Havard, Michael Evans, Jason Fowler, Casey Cooke, Jonathan Devine and Terry Fortenberry.
