JERRY JONES He was a native of Neshoba County, lived in Pensacola, Florida during his younger years and moved to Meridian where he graduated from Meridian  High School.  He had made his home in Kemper County for the past 11 years.  Mr. Griffin was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Army.  He loved to travel and fish in his spare time and loved his dog "Bogie".   He was preceded in death by his father, Alvis Griffin and his grandparents.   Survivors include his wife, Mary Stevens of DeKalb; son, Michael Cody Griffin of Wichita, Kansas; mother, Myrtle Griffin of Brandon; sister, Delores Griffin of Brandon; brother, Dennis Griffin and his wife, Cindy of Ridgeland; and one nephew.
