LAVON BOATNER Mr. Boatner, 53, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at his residence. He was born and reared in the Plattsburg Community of Winston County.  Mr. Boatner was a member of The Way of the Cross Baptist Church.   He was preceded in death by his father, Kimbol Boatner and sons, Charles Boatner and Clyde Boatner.   Survivors include his wife, Diane Boatner of Philadelphia; daughter, Ashley Walden of Destin, FL; son, Derrick Hobson of McCool; grandchildren, Angelica Walden and Andrew Walden; mother, Marie Blount of Pearl; sister, Debra Counce of Pearl; and brothers, Rev. Randall Boatner of Philadelphia and Donnie Boatner of Pearl.
