Sandra was called home to be with her Lord on June 12, 2011. She died from a massive stroke. Sandra was 45 years old. When Sandra was a young child, she and her family moved to Philadelphia, Mississippi where she lived until her untimely death. As a teenager, Sandra loved to attend Pearl River Mennonite Church where she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on November 6, 1983 by Rev. Glenn Myers. Sandra graduated from Choctaw Central High School in May 1983. She worked as a volunteer worker at Pearl River Day Care for a while. Later, she was hired as a teacher aide at Pearl River Day Care. She attained her Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate and later her Associates degree from East Central Community College. She had plans to further her education at the University of Southern Mississippi, but due to health reasons she resigned her job in which she loved so dearly. Sandra was strong-willed and wanted to do things on her own despite her limitations. She was also a loving and compassionate person who was always giving and looking out for others. She always had a smile on her face and would make you feel happy to be around her. She was better known as "SANNY" by her family. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Finis Tubby; paternal grandparents, Henderson & Maggie Scott Tubby; maternal grandparents, Bennett & Eulie Willis John; two brothers, Jerry Lee Tubby and Melvin Ray Tubby; nephew, David Sheldon Martin; and a special aunt, Frieda John Imburgia. Survivors include her mother Bertha Willis Tubby of Philadelphia; two brothers, Kevin Tubby and Bobby Gene Tubby of Philadelphia; six sisters, Darlene Tubby Patrick of Sebastopol, Julia Yazzie Tubby, Gloria Tubby White, Bernita Tubby Reynolds, Rita Tubby Jones, and Brenda Tubby Stephens all of Philadelphia; five brothers-in-law, Mark Patrick of Sebastopol, Austin Tubby, Jerry Reynolds, Thomas Jones, and Travis Stephens all of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. She leaves behind in God's special care Jennifer Martin, Lorenzo Patrick, Destiny McCombs, Marco Patrick, Notah Tubby, and Devonte McCombs. Sandra will be greatly missed. Good bye for now "SANNY".
