DAN HOWARD Mrs. Brown, 80, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.   She was a native of Carthage, MS and a longtime resident of Jackson, MS.  She was former manager of the TWL store in Philadelphia.  She retired from Deposit Guaranty National Bank in Jackson and formerly worked at Magnolia Federal where she served as bank manager.  Mrs. Brown was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Gross and Lucille Gross Lutts and a brother, Don Heath Gross.   Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sparks and husband, Leon of Fort Smith, AR and Ruth Ann Burrage and husband, Jr. of Philadelphia; three granddaughters, Danielle Hasty of Fort Smith, AR, Dr. Jessica Myers and husband, Lee of Philadelphia and Jenifer Branning and husband, Chancy of Philadelphia; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Head and husband, Charles of Jackson; a brother, Billy Gross and wife, Pat of Carthage; a sister-in-law, Barbara Gross of Madison and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
