RAMEY HANKINS Dorothy Mooney Beall, 86, died March 28, 2011, at Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Leland and Hattie Jordan; her six siblings, Mary Jordan Padgett, Charles Jordan, William Jordan, Lorraine Jordan Merx, James Jordan, and Peter Jordan; one grandson, Richard Eakes; and three husbands, James David Hayes, Herbert Guy Mooney, Jr., and John William Beall. She was born April 16, 1924, and grew up in Philadelphia, MS, her home city until 1970 when she moved to Clinton, MS. Dorothy loved her God, her family and her friends in the many places she lived. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton and continued to share her faith through the Prayer Writing Ministry even after she was unable to attend services. Letters from others in that ministry enriched her final years. Each member of her family held a very special place in her heart, as did the friends she held so dear. The family wishes to convey its deepest gratitude to those who treated her with care and compassion through these years – Dr. Danny Stephens, Dr. Mack Addison, and Gina Seago, NP; the nurses and staff at Compere’s Nursing Home, St. Catherine’s Village and at Hospice Ministries, where she was loved and comforted in her final days; and to Lillie Wells Brown, Gloria Wells, Gwen Bell, and Margaret Calvin for their loving care. Pallbearers: Patrick Mooney, Guy Nowell, Greg Nowell, Michael Hayes, George Jackson, Scott Bounds, William Colbert, and Jon Michael Beall, II.For those desiring to make memorials, please consider Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland.
