DUAINE MORGAN Mr. Atkinson, 84, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at Neshoba County Nursing Home.   He was born and reared in the Burnside Community of Neshoba County and was a graduate of Arlington High School.  He made his home in Jackson for many years before moving back to Neshoba County 22 years ago. Mr. Atkinson was a member of Salem Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII.  He was a member of Philadelphia Masonic Lodge # 93.   Survivors include his wife, Cressie Ryals Atkinson of Philadelphia; sons, Jerry Atkinson of Philadelphia, Stanley Atkinson of Orlando, FL, Malcom Atkinson of Jackson, Paul Atkinson of Philadelphia, Kenny Ryals of Philadelphia, Mike Ryals of Philadelphia, and James Allen Nelson of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Barbara Lewis of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
