Patsy Houston Thaggard

Services for Patsy Houston Thaggard will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 1:00 p. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Kevin Jones and Rev. Dennis Duvall officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held Saturday at McClain-Hays Funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Thaggard, 77, of Ridgeland, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County, previous resident of Meridian, and was currently residing in Ridgeland.  She was a 27-year teacher at Sebastopol Attendance Center Schools. Mrs. Thaggard was a member of Trace Ridge Baptist Church in Ridgeland where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher.   She loved to quilt.  Survivors include daughter, Renee’ Jones (Kevin) of Richland; son, Dr. Andy (Carol) Thaggard; five grandchildren, Dr. Katie Thaggard, Anna Claire Thaggard (William) Griffin, Grace Thaggard, Houston Jones, and Reese Jones; brother, Jerrell (Joyce) Houston; and sister, Lynn McDonell. Mrs. Thaggard was preceded in death by husband, Aubrey Thaggard; sister, Joan Houston Waters; and brothers, Billy Houston and Jimmy Houston. Pallbearers will be Houston Jones, Reese Jones, William Griffin, Daniel Lane, Reed Kasper and Tim Waters.
