CHRIS VOWELL Mr. Hardy, 95, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Neshoba County General Hospital.  He was a native of the Laurel Hill community of Neshoba County.   He worked for Wells-Lamont in Philadelphia and later at their distribution center in Memphis until his retirement.  After residing in Memphis for thirty-four years, he and his family returned to Neshoba County in 2004, making their home in the Hope community. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during WWII.  Mr. Hardy was a member of Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Penny Stanton of Philadelphia; three sons, Allen Hardy (Nancy) of Philadelphia, Kevin Hardy of Chicago, IL, and John Hardy of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Andy Hardy (Penny), Jenny Dabbs (Andy), Ben Hardy (Hannah), Shane Stanton; five great-grandchildren, Grace and Henry Dabbs, Nicholas, Georgia and Lexie Hardy; one sister, Carol Oliphant of Philadelphia; one brother, Winfred Hardy of Burkburnett, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Crawford Hardy in 2015; and seven sisters and brothers.Family requests memorials be made to Hope Cemetery Fund,or favorite charity.
