CURT PACEMr. Harpole, 88, went home to meet his Savior on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Choctaw Residential Center in Choctaw, MS. Boots was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Mississippi and elder emeritus of First Presbyterian Church. He worked for the State of Mississippi for over 53 years, serving in the Transportation Department, the Public Service Commission, and the 8th Judicial District. As his nickname would imply, he was an avid horseman, having owned and driven both trotters and pacers.Perhaps his greatest love was his family: his wife, Frankie Price Harpole of Philadelphia; his daughters, Lorraine Blount (David) and Jessica Bailey (Ty), all of Madison; grandsons, Andrew Bailey (Jessica) of Jefferson City, MO., Clay Blount of Madison and Simon Bailey (Ashley) of Jackson and sister, Helen Latimer of Starkville.He was predeceased by other loving family members: father, Jefferson Davis Harpole; mother, Mattie Turner Harpole; brother, Jeff Harpole and sister, Ginnie Dees.He will be remembered by many as a good friend and someone who could be counted on in a time of need and will be missed by friends and family alike.Pallbearers were Keith Howell, Max Kilpatrick, Mark Duncan, Kenny Rea, Tony Hardy, Rayburn Waddell, Jimmy Rea, Craig Brown, Charles Mars, Ray Howell, Earvin Sims and Bud Waddell.
