John Stuart Sharpe

Services will be held Saturday April 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Butler and Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Visitation will be Saturday April 7, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at McClain-Hays. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.Mr. Sharpe, 52, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his residence. A native and longtime resident of Philadelphia, MS, he was a graduate of Philadelphia High School and attended East Central Community College.  He was a painter/carpenter by trade and had worked at Nissan Canton. Mr. Sharpe was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Arthur and Wanda Sharpe of Philadelphia; sister, Judy Sharpe Luke of Germantown, TN; brother, Art Sharpe of Huntsville, AL; aunts, Emma Sue Nowell, Anna Crosby, Betty Kilgore (Haimes), Martha Ashley (Danny), Joan Vines, Frances Hollingsworth (Fred) and Ollie Stuart; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Luke II, Jennifer Luke White, Victoria Luke Morich, William, Catherine, Benn and Caroline Sharpe; and numerous cousins and their families.  Mr. Sharpe was preceded in death by grandparents, Leonard and Fairy Stuart, Joe and Amanda Sharp; and several aunts and uncles.
