Barton, 79, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He worked as a brick layer for over 50 years.  Mr. Barton loved the Lord and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He was an active volunteer at Neshoba County General Nursing Home.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, and took pleasure with anything outdoors.  He was a loving husband, daddy and granddaddy. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Barton of Philadelphia; children, David Barton (Diane) of Monette, Arkansas, Jamie Barton of Helena, Arkansas, Tina Crawford (Johnny) of Bethpage, Tennessee, Lola Beckham (Tony) of Philadelphia, Stacy Rieves (Roger) of Arab, Alabama, April Gallahegr (Scott) of Philadelphia, Rita Willhite (Thomas), Kathy Gschwend (Ricky), Patricia Pannell (Jerry), Timothy Terry (Barbara), Billy Junior Terry (Donna) and Billy Bruce Terry, all of Helena, Arkansas; grandchildren, James D.L. Barton, Megan Barton, Johnny Lee Crawford, T.J. Beckham, Heather Crawford, Brandon Beckham, Buddy C. Evans, Jr., Rena Hopkins, Grayson Boler and Gavin Boler; great-grandchildren, Emilee Barton, Kaise Barton and Ella Barton; sister, Nadis Harrison of Mitchellville, Indiana; and brother, Rudolph Johnson of Philadelphia. Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his parents, David L. Barton and Lola Florence Johnson; daughter, Amanda Barton; sisters, Thelma Beale, Reathie Johnson, Pearl Johnson Gentry and Nelvis Johnson; and brothers, Grady Vance Johnson and G.W. Johnson. Pallbearers are Bruce Branning, Ted Myers, Scott Gallahegr, Chris Crowson, Frankie Crowson and T.J. Beckham.
