CHESTER CARLISLE Mr. Maxey, 92, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County.  He was retired from Edwards Electric where he worked as an electrician.  He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific, and was a member of the American Legion.  Mr. Maxey was a longtime member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Lee Maxey of Philadelphia; daughters, Jackie Holley (Lonnie) of Philadelphia and Tammy Manning (Rayford, Jr.) of Noxapater; grandchildren, Kristen Blair (Scott), Eric Hill (Michelle), Heather Evans, Erica Roebuck, Julie Coleman (Josh), Michelle Lovern (Jase), Rayford Manning III (Olivia), Bruce Manning (Aubrey) and Andrew Brent Manning; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Hardy Maxey of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Maxey was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Lackey; granddaughter, Elizabeth Manning; parents, Bryant and Maude Maxey; three sisters and three brothers. Pallbearers are Scott Blair, Josh Coleman, Jase Lovern, Rayford Manning III, Bruce Manning and Brent Manning.
