DAVID UPSHAW Mr. Sisson, 86, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born and reared in the Sandtown community of Neshoba County and lived in the City of Philadelphia most of his life. He was a graduate of Longino High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Sisson was employed with Smith Bakery as a supervisor until his retirement and then became owner and operator of a trucking company. He was a member and deacon of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Beverly Smith of Philadelphia and Glenda Mattern and her husband, Bill of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Laura Stewart, Kelly Williams, Mandy Cumberland and Jason Richardson, all of Philadelphia; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Harbour of Conroe, TX; brother, Willie Earl Sisson of Prattville, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Sisson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sisson; daughter, Wanda Gayle Sisson; grandson, Allen Cumberland; parents, Arthur and Edith Sisson; sister, Naomi Lavender; and brothers, Ivy Sisson and Raymond Sisson.Pallbearers will be Jason Richardson, Granville Stewart, John Williams, Rusty Cumberland, Taylor Stewart, Cole Stewart, John Beck Williams and Randall Sisson.
