DENNIS DUVALLINTERNMENT: HOPE CEMETERYJC Goldman, JR., 65, passed away in the early morning hours of December 20, 2012, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, after a lengthy battle with cancer. JC was born September 8, 1947, in Meridian, MS, and reared in the Hope Community of west Neshoba County. He attended school at Coldwater (grades 1-4), Zephyr Hill (grades 5-8), and Neshoba Central High School, graduating with honors. JC earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University (1969) and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois (1970). JC was a member of Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity and was active in many technical societies including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Water Environment Federation, and the American Water Works Association, serving in various local, regional, and national positions. He was recognized by MSU as one of the 100 Outstanding Engineering Alumni in 1992, and also tapped for membership in the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers. JC was a member of the Army Reserve during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired October of this year from Suez Environnement North America, serving most recently as Executive Vice President for Strategic Projects responsible for developing and executing growth strategies for SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT’S operations in North America. Previously, JC served as President of the Contract Services segment of United Water, a SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT subsidiary, where he was responsible for operations and management projects. He is a registered professional engineer in six states. The beginning of JC’s faith journey was at Hope Baptist Church. JC continued in Christian service as both a Deacon and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, GA, Elder at Faith Presbyterian Church of Huntsville, AL, and Deacon at First Baptist Church of Philadelphia, MS. JC was preceded in death by his father, JC Goldman, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kynerd Goldman; daughter, Christine Goldman Robinson (Joel) of Huntsville, AL; son, JC Goldman, III (Meaghan) of Burbank, CA; son, Kyle Wesley Goldman (Robin) of Jackson; mother, Bernice Richardson Goldman of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Maggie and Nate Robinson of Huntsville, AL, and Lou Goldman of Burbank, CA; brothers, Wayne Goldman (Madonna) and Glenn Goldman (Donna) of Philadelphia, Ronald Goldman (Rita) of Vicksburg, and Robert Goldman (Nancy) of Brookhaven; and sisters, Carolyn Reddin (Eddie) of Byhalia, MS, Yvette King of Bolivar, TN, and Jo Clara Burt (Floyd) of Philadelphia. Pallbearers were Scott Lewis, Jon Robert Goldman, Richie Goldman, Justin Goldman, Donnie Montgomery and Bryan Carter.  Honorary pallbearers were the Saturday Morning Breakfast Group, Monday Morning Men's Prayer Group and Deacons of First Baptist Church.    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Philadelphia, MS.
